Jan Johansson is an architect (M.Arch.) from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen . He graduated in 1993 and has participated in master classes at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona (UPC), Spain. He started his own architect studio in 1994 and works as architect and environmental consulant. He has worked as architect at Langvad Architects and at other studios. He has worked as architect in Denmark for Boligselskabet AKB, JM Danmark A/S, Albaek Building Consultancy, Nordicom A/S and Fredensborg Municipality. He has the last 20 years participated in the development and construction of residential and office projects. Since 2007 he has been a lecturer in architecture and sustainability of the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. He has been visiting professor at Holon Institute of Technology (H.I.T) Israel in 2012, University Politecnico di Milan, Italy in 2011 and 2010. He was also a workshop leader at the international conference and workshop ECOWEEK Milan 2011 and Jerusalem 2012. He has been invited to be visiting professor and workshop leader at ECOWEEK, which will take place in September at University of Roma Tre - School of Architecture, Italy. He has foundations from Margot and Thorvald Dreyer Foundation, Lemvigh-Müller Foundation and Erasmus Scholarship. Jan Johansson has applied to begin a Ph.d. study of sustainability, which will take place at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, in the Institute of Technology. The studies are expected to begin in September 2012.
